We recently hiked the Inca Trail and wished that we had found a one-stop spot for finding details about our upcoming adventures. We found some good stuff here and there along with outdated information – including the suggestion to go with a company who had toilet tents.(They are no longer allowed on the trail.) We chose a company based on that tip – well, we had some other requirements as well – and were not thrilled when we found out that there would be no toilet tent, especially when we saw the condition of the “toilets”.
Speaking with other hikers along the trail, we found that many of them had also received inaccurate or scant information about the total Inca Trial experience, so we have taken it upon ourselves to set up a place where future hikers can get all the information that they need.
